Tutorials

“I can receive help in specific things I don't understand, and because it’s a small group I'm not afraid to ask questions”

University populations are getting larger each year, which makes small group teaching and learning increasingly important.

St Hilda’s holds more than 60 tutorials a week with class sizes ranging from three to ten students.

The range of tutorials available each year depends on subjects undertaken by current students. If a tutorial in a particular subject is not available, special permission will be given to attend one at another college at no additional cost.

Any student experiencing particular difficulty with their course will be provided with additional support by a tutor in their discipline.

Additional support is provided for both students and tutors through our network of Senior Academic Advisers and Fellows.
