The College computing facilities are provided solely for academic use in relation to the courses undertaken by our residents. They provide a gateway to the Internet, enabling users to access a wealth of resources available and to communicate with other users worldwide.
The Computer Laboratory is made up of an array of well-configured workstations, loaded with a range of commonly used software applications, as well as scanning and printing equipment.
The laboratory regularly updates its software collection, which includes general word processing, spreadsheeting and presentation packages, as well as some specialist graphic design, web design, engineering, accounting, statistics and architectural design programs.
Access to the St Hilda’s College network is available from the workstations in the Computer Laboratory or from student rooms using privately owned computers, via the data outlet in their room.
Students have 24 hour access to the up-to-date Computer Laboratory.
Technical support is provided from the College’s IT Support Officer who is assisted by the Student Network Support Team.
