Student Club

Aims

The St Hilda’s Student Club, founded on the tradition of Communitas, holds two aims that it considers fundamental to a sense of community:

  • Shared experience, and
  • A net of friendship that incorporates all members.

While recognising the needs of individuals, it are to these two ends that the Club is devoted.

The Student Club seeks to fairly represent the interests of its members; and to encourage their positive development intellectually, in creative fields and in sporting endeavours.

General Information

The General Committee is the main body of the Student Club and is responsible for everyday matters and decisions.

The Student Club Executive comprises of the following positions:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Functions Convenor
  • Social Convenor
  • Cultural Convenor
  • Second Year Representative
  • First Year Representatives
  • Sports Representatives

Activities and Clubs

There are several Sub-Committees including the Outdoor, Social, Functions, Ski, Jazz Band, Rock Band, Debating, Magazine, Newsletter, Ball, Drama, Music, Sports, Shop Committee and the Communitas Committee.

Participation is voluntary but it is hoped that each student will be involved on at least one Committee.
