Where are we?
- Northern end of the University of Melbourne’s Parkville Campus .
- A short walk from the Lygon Street shops
- 10 minute tram ride from the Melbourne CBD
How big are we?
- A medium sized College of 200 residents
- Made up of undergraduates, post graduates and academic staff
What is the accommodation like?
- 6 accommodation blocks of three to five stories located around two garden courtyards
- First year undergraduate students get a fully furnished and spacious single bedroom/ study with shared washroom between each two rooms.
- Phone and internet connection to every room.
- Shared bathroom facilities are available on each floor and four blocks have laundry facilities.
- Larger rooms and en suite rooms are available for the more senior undergraduate and post graduate students.
What facilities are available for students?
- Junior Common Room , TV lounge, Billiard Room and Gymnasium.
- A library that is focused on supplying those hard to get recommended reading texts for undergraduate degrees.
- 9 tutorial rooms
- Computer Lab, photocopier and Music Practice room
What Meals do I get?
- Three meals a day seven days a week.
- Good fresh food and plenty of it for the growing appetite.
- Our catering operation is not outsourced All our kitchen staff are proud members of the St Hilda’s community
What Academic Support do I get?
- Fifteen residential tutors on site
- Extensive tutorial program offered in most subjects
What social, cultural and sporting activities are there?
- Active Student Club
- Varied Annual program of activities including social turns, the Ball, the College Play and music recitals.
- Intercollegiate sports competition with an opportunity for all to participate
