Fees and Services

St Hilda’s College fees cover:

  • a furnished single study bedroom for 39 weeks
  • 21 meals per week
  • academic programs including library support ,weekly tutorials and/or regular tutor consultations
  • pastoral and welfare support
  • IT connection to each residents room with 2 Gig free download limit
  • provision of phone to each residents room

2009 COLLEGE FEES:

The College fees are set by the College Council by December of each year as part of the annual budget process. 2009 Fees will be published as soon as they are approved by Council.

2008 COLLEGE FEES:

In 2008 St Hilda’s College basic Annual Fee is AUD $16,160 for a 39 week period of residence which covers the full university year including mid semester and mid year breaks. All meals are included in the Annual Fee. To prevent disruption to students who are still studying for exams, residents are required to vacate the College at the end of the University year within 24 hours of their last exam.

Fees are billed twice yearly on the first of February and the first of August. Fees are payable within 30 days of the account being issued unless alternative arrangements are made with the Business Manager.

ADDITIONAL FEES:

In addition to the basic fee, all students are required to pay:

  • an annual subscription to the Student Club. In 2008 this was set at $200
  • a telephone advance of $200 which is applied to the cost of calls made from the room phone

In 2008, all New Entry students also paid:

  • An Enrolment Fee of $500.
  • An Orientation Week Fee of $400
  • a Bond of $400 (refunded if the room is not damaged during occupancy)
  • an Academic Gown Deposit of $30 (refunded on return of the gown).
